A recent report by 91mobiles exclusively revealed a patent filing of a potential tri-fold smartphone by Xiaomi. Now, another report has come up with the IMEI details of another tri-fold smartphone by the brand, which could be unveiled by 2026. Notably, the company is allegedly working on two tri-fold phones simultaneously. Here are the expected details of the Xiaomi tri-fold smartphone.
Xiaomi tri-fold smartphone IMEI details
- The Xiaomi tri-fold smartphone has appeared on the IMEI certification website with the model number 26013VP46C, which has been spotted by Smartprix.
- The certification site does not provide any details of the tri-fold phone, but “2601″ at the start of the model number suggests January 2026 as its launch timeline.
- Meanwhile, “C” at the end of the model number hints it is a Chinese variant. However, the report notes this tri-fold phone will be limited to China.
- The phone is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which will come as the successor of the yet-to-be-launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
- As per the report, this Xiaomi smartphone will be buttonless.
- Notably, this tri-fold smartphone is many months away from its launch and might see many changes in between. Therefore, these details should be taken with a pinch of salt.
“Zhuque” codenamed Xiaomi tri-fold smartphone to play key role among other foldables
Xiaomi’s first tri-fold smartphone is codenamed “zhuque,” and is expected to be unveiled as the brand’s first tri-fold phone. It will reportedly play a crucial role among other foldables and might not be announced or launched as a limited concept device if it doesn’t achieve the desired market impact, like the Mi Mix Alpha 5G. Notably, this could further impact the launch of the anticipated tri-fold model slated for release in 2026.
It is worth noting that this tri-fold smartphone has also appeared on the IMEI certification site with 2503FVPB1C and 25031VP29C model numbers, spotted by Xiaomitime. It is reported that this smartphone will likely be limited to China following its anticipated launch in March 2025, which is derived from the model number.
Meanwhile, the recently released patent filing showed that it might feature three sensors in a horizontal camera setup placed at the top of the rear panel. The renders indicate that the brand might be using a strategy similar to the Huawei Mate XT, allowing the foldable device to be used in three different screen sizes.

Notably, these details have arrived after the launch of the Huawei Mate XT as the world’s first tri-fold phone. When folded, the device offers a 6.4-inch display, along with a 7.9-inch dual display at 2K resolution and a 10.2-inch tablet screen with 3K resolution. It packs a 50MP+12MP+12MP rear sensors and an 8MP front shooter. The phone houses a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
