The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition from South Korea has been rebranded as the Samsung W25 in China. It shares the same hardware including an 8-inch display, a 200MP camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and more. Though the design is kept largely identical, the aesthetics are tweaked with new gold accents. The Samsung W25 is already finding its way to the hands of reviewers. The live video of the foldable has surfaced online and this shows off how the crease on the foldable has evolved.

• Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE crease is barely visible in the video (shared by tipster Ice Universe) when the screen is turned on, especially with lighter backgrounds.
• In the video, the phone’s display is titled quite a bit to see whether the crease is noticeable at any angle but Samsung seems to have done a good job.

• You really have to look closely to see the crease in the middle where the phone folds in half. The crease should be visible when the screen is turned off.
• Another video from the tipster compares the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE aka Samsung W25 with the OPPO Find N3 aka OnePlus Open.
• This shows the Samsung foldable seems to have a narrower hinge/crease compared to the OPPO foldable.

• Also, the hinge is less apparent on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE/W25 compared to the OPPO Find N3 when the screen is turned off. This will make the whole foldable experience more immersive.

In all fairness, the OPPO Find N3 debuted in October 2023, while the Samsung foldable be it the special edition or the W25 are more recent launches so there are chances OPPO might catch up or do one better with the successor if and when it debuts.
