Vivo Y300 5G specifications leaked ahead of launch: here’s what to expect | Tech Tips

The Vivo Y300 5G will be launching in China on December 16. It will join the Y300 Pro that debuted in the country in September. It’s important to note that the upcoming Y-series phone is quite different from the Y300 5G that released in India last month. Now, ahead of the official launch, the Vivo Y300 5G’s full specifications have been leaked, courtesy of tipster WHYLAB on microblogging platform Weibo. 

Vivo Y300 5G expected specifications

• As per the Weibo user, the Vivo Y300 5G will come with a 6.77-inch flat OLED screen bearing a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1,800 nits peak brightness.
• The display will be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. It is also said to be response to wet and oily hands. 
• The upcoming offering will reportedly feature an 8MP selfie snapper. The dual-camera setup on the back panel is expected to a 50MP main Samsung S5KJNS sensor and a 2MP depth lens. 
• The Vivo Y300 5G will be equipped with a triple speaker system. 
• There will be top and bottom firing speakers and another one placed in the middle of the camera island co-developed with AAC technologies with a max power of 4.5W. 

• The device is touted to be the first to come with a 3D panoramic sound. 
• As per the leakster, the Vivo Y300 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC under the hood. 
• It will be offered in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage configurations. 
• The device is tipped to be backed by a 6,500mAh battery unit with support for 44W fast charging. 
• Other features on the Y300 5G are said to include IP64 rating, WiFi-5, and Bluetooth 5.4 
• The Vivo Y300 5G will be available in Qingsong, Ruixue White, and Star Diamond Black colours. 

The Vivo Y300 5G is expected to arrive as the successor to the Y200 5G that launched in May this year. The later starts at CNY 1,599 (~Rs 18,410) in the home market. Since, the Y300 5G is already available in India as a different device, the China model will likely not make its way to the country.
