Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim spotted online, Galaxy S25 and S25+ new colours tipped

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim spotted online, Galaxy S25 and S25+ new colours tipped | Tech Tips

Highlights
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will reportedly debut around Q2 2025.
  • The model number of the phone has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database.
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ are tipped to get new Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green colours.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will reportedly include a new ‘Slim’ model alongside regular vanilla, Plus, and Ultra models. This new version should arrive months ahead of the also new and rumoured Apple iPhone 17 Slim/Air, giving the Samsung phone an edge. Now, the alleged Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim launch timeline and more details have been reported in the latest development.

Besides the new ‘Slim’ model, another leak reveals the Galaxy S25/S25+ two new Sparkling (quite literally) colours. The launch timeline of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series flagships seems to be fast approaching as the reports/leaks/rumours intensified in recent days.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim appears online

  • The regular Galaxy S25 models reportedly have the model numbers: SM-S931 (S25), SM-S936 (S25+), and SM-S938 (S25 Ultra).
  • Folks at Smartprix note the company is working on a fourth new phone with the model number SM-S937U, where the ‘U” at the end could mean it will be the US version.

  • The model number has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database.
  • The database listing mentions the market name as just Galaxy, possibly because Samsung doesn’t want the actual name to leak out just yet.
  • The Samsung SM-S937U in question is believed to be the Galaxy S25 Slim US variant, although the moniker is not officially confirmed.

Launch timeline

The report says that Samsung usually registers its devices in the GSMA IMEI database 6-7 months prior to the launch. This will give the brand enough time to test before officially launching. Smartprix notes the alleged Samsung S25 Slim will be announced in Q2 2025 (between April to June). This is months after the regular Galaxy S25 debuts.

If this is indeed true, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will look to take on the Google Pixel 9a and the Apple iPhone SE 4, which are expected to debut around the same timeline.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim Ultra camera

Although it’s too early to come across the specifications, tipster Ice Universe claims the Galaxy S25 Slim will have an ‘Ultra’ camera. While it is not clear what this exactly means, it is possible the phone could have a similar camera setup as the Galaxy S25 Ultra or better than the regular S25 and S25+ optics.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ sparkling colours

Moving away from the Galaxy S25 Slim, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are tipped to get two new colours: Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green. Tipster Tarun Vats citing Ross Young (who earlier shared the list of Galaxy S25 series colours) shared the renders of either the base Galaxy S25 or the Galaxy S25+ to show off the two new sparkling colours in action.

The two new colours don’t seem to offer anything new in terms of design aesthetics, at least going by the renders shared. The Sparkling Green colour looks identical to the S24’s Jade Green colour, while the Sparkling Blue resembles the Sapphire-Blue S24 colour but with a slightly lighter hue.

Beyond the new sparkling colours, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is expected to be available in Moon Night Blue Silver Shadow, while the S25+ could get Midnight Black, Moon Night Blue, and Silver Shadow hues.
