Samsung Galaxy S25 series is set to launch on January 22nd at the ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event. There have been various leaks and reports in recent times, hitting us on what to expect from the phones. There are speculations that a new ‘Slim’ variant might be in the works this time but it might debut at a later date. While we wait for the announcement, the Galax S25+ global model has surfaced on Geekbench.

  • The Geekbench listing shows the model number SM-S936B, the ‘B’ at the end could represent global. This is believed to be the Galaxy S25+ in the series.
  • The phone has managed to score 2721 in the single-core round and 9435 in the multi-core segment.

  • In comparison, the phone (possibly meant for another region) scored 3,054 single-core points and 9,224 multi-core points when it appeared on Geekbench back in September.
  • The variant that appeared on Geekbench packs 10.72GB (12GB) RAM and boots Android 15 OS out of the box, which could be skinned with One UI 7 custom skin.
  • The motherboard section mentions ‘sun‘, which could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which aligns with rumours.
  • The octa-core processor has six cores clocked at 3.53GHz and two cores at 4.47GHz.

Samsung Galaxy S25+: what we know so far

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ will sit in between the vanilla and Ultra models.


  • Display: The handset is expected to sport a 6.7-inch 2x Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. This is the same screen size as the Galaxy S24+.
  • Processor: The Galaxy S25+ could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. In comparison, the predecessor shipped with Exynos 2400 SoC.
  • Memory: Recent leaks have hinted the Plus model may arrive with 256GB and 512GB storage options and could have a 12GB RAM option.
  • OS: The phone is likely to boot Android 15 OS out of the box.
  • Colours: Blue Black, Mint, Navy or Icy Blue, Silver Shadow, Pink Gold, and Coral Red colours.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to be up for pre-orders on February 3rd, with sales commencing from February 9th. Currently, interested buyers can pre-reserve the phones by paying a token amount of Rs 2,000 in India.
