Redmi A4 5G price in India, specifications and more details have been revealed as the phone is now officially launched in the country. It arrives as the successor to the Redmi A3 and is the first A-series model with 5G network support. The phone also marks the global debut of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset in India. The phone features a premium halo glass sandwich design.

Redmi A4 5G price in India, sale

• Redmi A4 5G price in India starts at Rs 8,499 for the base 4GB + 64GB model. There is also another model with 4GB + 128GB and this costs Rs 9,499.
• The handset will be available in Sparkle Purple and Starry Black colour options.
• The phone will be on sale from November 27th at 12 PM IST via Amazon and Mi website.

• Display: Redmi A4 5G sports a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 1640 X 720 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, 450/600nits typical brightness, and TUV low blue light, flicker-free, and Circadian friendly certifications.
• Processor: The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset with Adreno GPU for graphics.
• Memory: The Redmi phone will be available in 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.2 storage that is further expandable up to 1TB. There’s also up to 4GB virtual RAM support.

What’s new on the Redmi A4 5G?

The biggest upgrade with the Redmi A4 is that it comes with the latest 5G network support compared to just 4G LTE connectivity on the predecessor. The display size is also now slightly bigger at 6.88 inches compared to the 6.71-inch of the predecessor. The refresh rate is also jumped to 120Hz from 90Hz. However, the screen resolution is still HD+.

The Redmi A4 5G comes with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 4nm chipset compared to the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset on the predecessor. The 8MP rear camera on the Redmi A3 is swapped with a 50MP main sensor. However, the front 5MP lens remains unchanged.

The battery department sees a slight upgrade. We get a 5160mAh battery on the Redmi A4 with 18W fast charging support compared to a 5,000mAh cell and 10W charging speed. There is also now an IP52 rating on the Redmi A4 5G.
