Realme P2 Pro gets BIS certification, suggests imminent India launch | Tech Tips

Realme P2 Pro India launch is expected to take place soon as the smartphone has appeared on the BIS certification site. It will succeed the Realme P1 series that made its debut in India in April this year as a new smartphone series. The BIS certification comes shortly after a report revealed key details about the Realme P2 Pro. Let’s take a look at what we know about the upcoming phone.

Realme P2 Pro BIS certification

Realme P2 Pro was spotted on the BIS certification website with the model number RMX3987. The BIS listing confirms the phone is launching in India but it doesn’t reveal any other detail. Realme has yet to officially tease the phone but with key details out already we should hear more soon.

The Realme P2 Pro will reportedly launch in up to four variants in India: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. The 512GB variant would be a new addition as the Realme P1 Pro is offered with a maximum of 256GB. The colour variants for the Realme P2 Pro have also leaked and the options are Chameleon Green and Eagle Grey. In comparison, the Realme P1 Pro is available in Parrot Blue and Phoenix Red colours.

There isn’t anything else known about the Realme P2 Pro yet but we expect it to offer upgrades over the Realme P1 Pro. It’s expected to launch with the Realme P1 smartphone and at a starting price of under Rs 20,000.

To recall, the Realme P1 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, and a 50MP main camera. The Realme P1 Pro also has a 16MP front camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
