Should you buy the Vivo V40?

You can consider buying the Vivo V40 if your main requirement is having good cameras. The phone features Zeiss cameras, which are claimed to offer impressive pictures in different scenarios. We get a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens on the back and these will offer great details with near-to-real colour output. The front 50MP shooter should be able to click sharp and crisp selfies.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset powering the phone might not be as powerful as the competition in the segment but is still pretty decent for regular usage like checking mail, browsing through the web, taking/making calls, social media needs and others. For comparison, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro comes with a better Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the POCO F6 has the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip.

We get a good 5,500mAh battery on the Vivo V40 and this is backed by an 80W fast charging support. Vivo is touting the Vivo V40 as the slimmest phone in the segment to have such a large-capacity cell. So, you can consider buying it if you need a slim phone that has a large-capacity battery.

All said and done, the Vivo V40 is a pretty decent option for the price mainly if your requirements are having a good set of cameras and a slim phone with a large capacity battery. If you need a performance-oriented phone, we suggest you check out alternatives like the POCO F6 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
