OPPO Find X8 Pro could launch in India; OPPO Find X8 to feature larger battery | Tech Tips

The OPPO Find X8 series has been officially teased with the smartphone expected to launch in China next month. This is OPPO’s flagship smartphone series including two models: OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Among the two, the Find X8 Pro is expected to launch in multiple markets including India. In OPPO’s flagship Find X series, only the Find X and Find X2 have been launched in India. An OPPO executive has also shared a glimpse of what to expect from the vanilla Find X8. 

OPPO Find X8 Pro India launch expected

• OPPO Find X8 Pro has been spotted on multiple certification sites including BIS suggesting that the smartphone might launch in India.
• All certifications reveal an OPPO phone with the model number CPH2659. It’s the Indonesian certification platform, SDPPI that confirms it’s the OPPO Find X8 Pro as the moniker is mentioned in the listing.
• Other than India, we can expect the OPPO Find X8 Pro to launch in Europe, Singapore, and Indonesia. 
• The OPPO Find X8 series is tipped to launch in China on October 21st.

OPPO Find X8 battery

Zhou Yibao, product manager for the Oppo Find series shared on Weibo that the Find X8 will be “lighter, thinner, smaller” than the previous generation. It will even pack a bigger battery and a smaller camera bump. For context, the OPPO Find X7 has a 5,000mAh battery. Details haven’t been revealed yet but the Pro model is tipped to pack a 5,700mAh battery. 

OPPO Find X8 series: what to expect

• Display: The vanilla OPPO Find X8 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model could feature a slightly bigger 6.8-inch 1.5K micro-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
• Processor: Both phones are expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. 
• Cameras: The Find X8 is tipped to house a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 3x telephoto lens. The Pro model might get an additional 10x periscope telephoto lens.
• Battery, charging: The OPPO Find X8 is tipped to pack a 5,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging, while the Pro model gets a bigger 5,700mAh battery. 
• Colours: Both phones are expected to come in a glass body. The Find X8’s colour options include Black, White, Blue, and Pink, while the Pro model has Black, White, and Blue colours.

OPPO’s Pete Lau had recently teased the Find X8 comparing the phone’s thin bezels with the iPhone 16 Pro. Interestingly, the Find X8 series is tipped to feature a ‘Quick Button’ that could resemble the Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 series.
