Motorola seems to be working on two new smartphones and these will debut in 2025. The new Motorola smartphones have been spotted on the IMEI database and are codenamed Orion and Houston. Motorola readying phones for 2025
Motorola Orion
- According to a report by GizmoChina, the Motorola Orion will be a foldable offering and is expected to be released in 2025.
- The IMEI database listing shows the model number XT2551-3.
- The reason for believing that this phone could be foldable is that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra featured the model number X2451.
- There are chances the Motorola Orion (XT2551-3) could be the Razr 60 Ultra.
- The ‘XT25′ string in the model number could mean the foldable might debut in 2025.
Motorola Houston
- Besides Orion, Motorola is also believed to be working on another device with the codename ‘Houston‘.
- The codename could be implying that the device might be exclusive to the US market but Gizmochina says it will sell the device in other regions as well.
- The report reveals four model numbers of the Motorola ‘Houston’: XT2517-V, XT2517-1, XT2517-2, and XT2517-3, probably meant for different regions/markets.
- This is a good indication to suggest the phone will not be exclusive to the US market.
- Again, the ‘XT25′ prefix could be suggesting the launch will happen in 2025.
Since the Motorola Orion and Motorola Houston appeared on the IMEI database, not much else is known about the phones at the moment. The report says they will be launching in 2025, so there’s still a lot of time to learn more details.
