OnePlus has unveiled three new AI features for its smartphones. It has also integrated the AI Toolkit directly into the sidebar. The new OnePlus AI features include AI Speak, AI Summary, and AI Writer. OnePlus has released these features only for select models and markets.
New OnePlus AI features
- AI Speak: As the name suggests, AI Speak will let you use AI to read articles from browsers like Chrome. It also works with news apps like Google News. You can choose male and female voices to work as your reading assistant. With AI Speak, you can use the replay function, switch sentences, and adjust the playback speed.
- AI Summary: This feature uses AI to create summaries of any information on the web. Once the article summary is complete, you can copy, share, or save it to Notes. You can also save the selected to the File Dock.
- AI Writer: AI Writer works as your personal writing assistant and you can use it to write text based on the image on your phone. The AI Writer will be suggested in apps like social media, shopping, and email.
The new AI features will be available in the AI Toolkit that has now been directly integrated into the sidebar. But to use these features you’ll have to first enable screen recognition. You can do this by going to Settings > Accessibility & Convenience.
As mentioned above, the new AI features are available only to a select number of devices and countries. It’s available for the OnePlus Nord 4 in India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, South Asia, Russia, and Latin America. The new AI features are also available for the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G but only in India.
