Honor has confirmed the launch of a new GT-series smartphone in China. The brand has shared a teaser of the upcoming offering revealing its design. The device is also up for pre-orders in the country. It is expected to be a performance-oriented smartphone and arrive as the successor to the last year’s Honor 90 GT. It’s unclear if Honor is dropping the number from the moniker of the upcoming GT smartphone.
Honor GT China launch date
- The Honor GT’s launch is set to take place on December 16, 19:30 local time (10 PM IST).
- The teaser poster shared on Weibo shows the Honor GT with boxy design having a flat frame.
- The back panel appears to have a dual-tone look.
- There is a protruding rectangular camera island at the top left corner.
- It houses two camera sensors headlined by a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens and a triple-LED flash unit.
- There is a Red-coloured GT branding at the bottom right corner of the camera module.
- The bottom of the device has a speaker grille, USB-C port, microphone, and a SIM tray.
- The poster reveals that the Honor GT will run on MagicOS.
- Meanwhile, as per the official listing of the smartphone, it will come in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage configurations.
- It will be offered in Ice Crystal White, Phantom Black, and Aurora Green colours.
As per reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor GT will reportedly be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The device is rumoured to come with support for 100W fast charging.
The Honor GT is unlikely to make its way to the India as none of the brand’s previous GT series phones have launched in the country.
