In a bid to enhance user experience, Google has announced the all-new Google TV Streamer (4K) globally. The Google TV Streamer (4K) is powered by Gemini technology and offers 4GB RAM, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Android TV OS, and much more. Google TV Streamer (4K) price, availability
- Through an official blog post, Google has officially confirmed that the Google TV Streamer (4K) is priced at USD 99.99, which is approximately Rs 8,400.
- The tech giant’s newly announced streamer is available for pre-order and can be purchased starting September 24th via Google Store and third-party retailers.
- Google notes that the Google TV Streamer (4K) will be available for purchase via the Google Store in the US in two colour options – Hazel and Porcelain.
Google TV Streamer (4K) features
The all-new Google TV Streamer (4K) offers a set-top box-like design and is claimed to be equipped with a 22 percent faster processor compared to the Chromecast with Google TV. It also includes 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, which is an upgrade from the 2GB RAM and 8GB storage on the Chromecast with Google TV.
The streamer is equipped with Google AI for personalised content and Gemini technology, which will let users access detailed summaries, reviews, and season breakdowns and allow them to create personalised watchlists for each family member. It also features an ambient mode that turns an idle TV into artwork or a custom screensaver using generative AI.
The Google TV Streamer (4K) supports 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It also incorporates an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-C port, an Ethernet port, dual-band Wi-Fi, and supports Bluetooth v5.1 connectivity. Furthermore, Google’s newly announced TV streamer runs Android TV OS and also equips voice search via remote.
Google mentions that users can connect their streamer to a Wi-Fi network or utilise an Ethernet port for faster, buffer-free streaming to enhance navigation. Additionally, the Google TV Streamer also allows users to cast media from their phones, integrate it with speaker groups, and control music throughout their home directly from their TV.
