ColorOS 15/OxygenOS 15 features
Dynamic Island Feature (Fluid Cloud): Fluid Cloud, aka Dynamic island-like feature, can apparently save up to four apps. This is unlike Apple, which can only stack two apps. This sits in the punch-hole of the phone’s screen and shows live activities like timers, order status, music playing, and others.
The screenshot suggests that the Fluid Cloud feature will allow you to customise what you tap in the area. You can either expand the card or open the app directly.
Advanced Blur: This feature enhances the blur in the notification shade and control centre.
Animations: ColorOS 15/OxygenOS 15 will improve animations. The report notes that users can open multiple apps simultaneously without any lag and the new animations will make the experience fluid and seamless.
Redesigned Control Centre: ColorOS 15 and OxygenOS 15 will bring a major redesign to the control centre, which seems to be borrowing elements from iOS/HyperOS skins. There are two modes: Classic which will be similar to ColorOS 14 and Split Mode, where the notification and quick toggles sections are separated.
There are two toggle switches at the top, a media player section, a brightness slider (including the auto brightness toggle), a volume slider and horizontally scrollable toggles.
AOD to Lock Screen Transition: ColorOS 15/OxygenOS 15 will bring a neater transition from ‘Always-On Display (AOD) to the Lock Screen and then to the Home Screen. Users will get glass effects, change clock font styles, and adjust clock colours on the lock screen.
