Alleged Vivo Y300+ spotted on IMEI database, launch imminent | Tech Tips
The Vivo Y300 series is anticipated to be in the works, and so far, it was expected that the series would include the Vivo Y300 and Vivo Y300 Pro. However, a new report hints that the company will launch three Y-series phones, with the third model being the Vivo Y300+. The report notes that the alleged smartphone has appeared on the IMEI certification site. Here are the expected details of the Vivo Y300+.
Vivo Y300+ IMEI certification details
As per a report by GizmoChina, the Vivo Y300+ has appeared on the IMEI certification site with the model number V2422. Notably, a device with the same model number was recently spotted on the same certification site. But it was touted as Vivo Y200+.
The certification site suggests the Vivo Y300+ will be a 5G smartphone. No other details have been revealed so far. However, more details regarding its features might emerge in the coming weeks through leaks and rumours before the company makes it official.
Vivo Y300 series: what to expect
The Vivo Y300 and Vivo Y300 Pro will also be 5G-enabled devices, and the company has recently announced that the Pro variant is set to launch in China on September 5th.
While not much is known about the Vivo Y300, a recent report states that the phone will flaunt a 6.77-inch micro-quadruple curved display with up to 5,000 nits of brightness and will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. The phone will run Android 14 and is expected to come with at least 12GB RAM.
In terms of cameras, the phone might pack a 50MP main sensor and a 32MP front sensor. It will sport a 6,500mAh battery, claimed to provide up to 12.1 hours of gaming, and might support 80W wired fast charging.
