Previously, it was reported that Vivo is working on two new devices in the Vivo X200 series that already include the standard, pro, and pro mini models. These are expected to be the X200s and X200 Ultra and the potential successors to the X100s and X100 Ultra. Now, reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared key details of what seems to be the X200s. These pertain to the phone’s display, processor, and more.
Vivo X200s key details tipped
- DCS does not explicitly mention Vivo X200s in the newly shared information.
- The upcoming Vivo phone is said to come (via) with a 6.67-inch OLED LTPS flat display panel bearing a resolution of 1.5K pixels.
- This is in line with what another tipster (Smart Pikachu) revealed back in November.
- The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus processor. It is expected to be a slightly upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400 and will be announced in the next few months.
- Per the latest information, the device will have extremely narrow bezels surrounding the screen.
- The Vivo X200s is tipped to retain the same circular camera module on the back and accommodate three cameras including a periscope lens. The sensor arrangement is also said to remain the same.
- However, the lens ring is said to be redesigned and narrower than its predecessor.
- A past leak from the same source hints at the presence of ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, large battery, and dust and water resistance rating.
The launch timeline of the Vivo X200s remains unclear at the moment. It’s predecessor debuted in May last year, six months after the launch of the X100 and X100 Pro. Considering that the X200 series arrived last October, we can expect the X200s to launch in April this year. The smartphone is expected to be limited to China and not make its way to the global markets. To recall, the X100s was announced at a starting price tag of CNY 4,999 (~Rs 58,618).
