Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is expected to arrive as the brand’s next budget offering and is likely to be placed under the Rs 20,000 price segment. The phone was spotted on the BIS certification a few months ago. Hinting the launch might be imminent, a high-quality render of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has now surfaced online, revealing the complete design.

- The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G though being a budget offering adopts design elements from the flagship lineup.
- The render, as shared by Android Headlines, shows the phone houses vertically stacked triple camera sensors on the back panel, an LED flash and the Samsung logo. This is a similar layout to the Galaxy S24 series.
- The rear of the phone has a glossy finish and it might be using a polycarbonate body.
- Flipping the phone to the front is when you will realise that you are using a budget phone. We get a dated drop-notch to accommodate the front camera and there is a sizeable chin below the screen.
- The SIM tray is on the left edge, while on the right there is a ‘key island’ to house the volume rocker and power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G appeared on Geekbench with the model number SM-A166P. The listing shows the phone has managed to score 514 in the single-core round and 1464 in the multi-core segment. The phone runs on Android 14 OS and packs 6GB RAM but there could be other options at launch.

The chipset powering the phone could be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, with a peak clock speed of 2.40GHz. For now, that’s pretty much everything we know about the phone at the moment but we should come across more details soon.
