Vivo V40 Lite 5G and 4G spotted on Indonesian retailer site; design, specifications leaked | Tech Tips

The Vivo V40 Lite 5G model recently made its debut in Spain, and it seems like the company is gearing up for a wider release of the device. However, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G won’t be the only model, the 4G variant will also tag along. Ahead of their launch, a leak surfaced online revealing the design, specifications, and pricing details of the Vivo V40 Lite series. Let’s check out what we can expect from these upcoming Vivo V40 Lite phones. 

Vivo V40 Lite series design, price leaked 

As per the leak, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G and the Vivo V40 Lite 4G will share the same design, unlike their predecessors. However, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G model in the leaked image has a different design than the Vivo V40 Lite 5G variant that recently launched in Spain. 

The Vivo V40 Lite 4G will come in two shades: Violet and Silver. On the other hand, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G model will also feature a colour-changing design besides the two options.

For the pricing details, the leak reveals that the Vivo V40 Lite 4G will start at RP 3,299 (Approx. Rs 18,000) for the 8GB/128GB storage option and the Vivo V40 Lite 4G will retail for RP 4,299 (Approx. Rs 24,000). 

Vivo V40 Lite 5G, Vivo V40 Lite 4G specifications 

The leak also reveals a few key features of both Vivo V40 Lite devices. The 5G model will come with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera at the back and a 32MP shooter at the front for selfies and video calls. Powering the device will be a 5,000mAh battery at the helm. 

On the other hand, the Vivo 40 Lite 4G model will also feature a 50MP primary snapper at the back and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video chats. Under the hood, it will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery. 

Besides this, the Geekbench listing (via MySmartPrice) of the Vivo V40 Lite 4G and Vivo V40 Lite 5G revealed their SoC, benchmark scores, and RAM details. The 4G model will feature a Snapdragon 685 SoC that scored 475/1,579 points on single/multi-core tests, respectively. 

However, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G model listed on Geekbench had a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, a downgrade compared to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC powering the Vivo V40 Lite 5G Spain model. The device achieved 916/2,234 points on single/multi-core tests on Geekbench, respectively.
