Samsung One UI 6.1.1 update with new AI features rolling out to Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 and more | Tech Tips
Samsung has started the rollout of the One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S24 series and previous models. This update brings several new Galaxy AI features that the company introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea first and will expand to other regions in the next few weeks.
One UI 6.1.1 update compatible phones
Samsung has announced the roll-out of the update through a newsroom post, where it also confirmed the set of AI features that will be made available. The One UI 6.1.1 will be available in South Korea initially, followed by North America and Europe from September 9th. The update will be available to:
- Samsung Galaxy S24 series
- Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup
- Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series.
One UI 6.1.1 AI features
Chat Assist: The One UI 6.1.1 update brings Chat Assist, which as the name suggests will help you draft emails, social media posts, and more using Composer. Users can simply give a text prompt with a few keywords and Galaxy AI will generate a full message based on tone and personal style for review.
Suggested Replies: As the name suggests this will offer quick replies from the wrist when connected to the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Note Assist: This will allow a set of actions like recording audio, transcribing, and summarising them.
PDF Overlay Translation: The AI feature can translate and overlay text in PDF files or even translate text in images and graphs.

Sketch to image: As the name suggests, the feature will use AI to generate images based on sketches/drawings/doodles created by the user via the S Pen, in Notes or the gallery app.
Circle to search: This feature uses Google to quickly generate search results. All you have to do is just circle a portion of the screen to which you need search results, Google will instantly present you with a bunch of relevant results.
Portrait studio: This feature creates portraits in a variety of styles such as 3D cartoons or watercolours.
Instant slow-mo: This feature allows users to slow a video down while maintaining a smooth image quality.
