Motorola has announced its launching a new phone globally on August 29th, without revealing the name of the device. Though unconfirmed, the smartphone is speculated to be the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, as it has simultaneously appeared on a retailer’s website ahead of the official announcement. This also reveals some key details of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.

Without naming the smartphone or any other details, Motorola on X (formerly Twitter) has officially revealed the phone’s launch date.

According to a report by YTECGHB, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo has been listed on a Hungarian website. Alongside that, the upcoming phone has also popped up on a Ukrainian store’s website, which hints at some of its specifications and other key details, which are mentioned below.

• Display: As per the report, the Ukrainian store’s listing suggests the Motorola Edge 50 Neo will boast a 6.4-inch POLED 120Hz flat display.
• Chipset: The Edge 50 Neo is touted to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which also powers the CMF Phone 1 and iQOO Z9s.
• RAM, storage: The upcoming Motorola smartphone is anticipated to include 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
• Software: The Motorola Edge 50 Neo will operate on the Android 14 operating system.
• Rear cameras: This phone is said to flaunt a 50MP Sony LYT700C main camera, a 13MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor.
• Selfie camera: The report mentions that the Motorola Edge 50 Neo might incorporate a 32MP sensor on the front for video calls and selfies.
• Battery, fast charging: There might be a 4,310mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging on the phone.
• Colours: Meanwhile, the Hungarian site reveals the Edge 50 Neo in Pantone Grisaille, Pantone Poinciana, Pantone Latte, and Pantone Nautical Blue colours.

Notably, if the speculated phone turns out to be the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, it might also be launched in India alongside global markets, as the Edge 50 Neo recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site. 

So far, the company has launched the Motorola Edge 50, Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Ultra in India.
