Redmi Note 14 Pro chipset and fast charging details leak online | Tech Tips

Redmi Note 14 series rumours and leaks have slowly started surfacing on the web. The possible Pro variant recently surfaced on BIS certification, hinting the India announcement might be around the corner. Now, folks at XiaomiTime have found the processor details of the Xiaomi 14 Pro and camera details within the HyperOS source code.

Separately, the possible Redmi Note 14 Pro has been spotted on China’s 3C certification and this reveals the fast charging speed details.

Redmi Note 14 Pro processor details

• Internally, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is reportedly being referred to with the codename “Amethyst” and the model number O16U.
• The report reveals the Redmi Note 14 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. This reiterates earlier leaks.
• Qualcomm announced the chipset at a special event on Tuesday. It’s based on the 4nm process and supports on-device-AI.
• The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is claimed to offer 20 percent better performance, 40 percent faster GPU, and 12 percent power savings over the predecessor.
• In comparison, the Redmi Note 13 Pro came with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset.

Furthermore, the source reveals some interesting titbits about the camera setup of the Redmi Note 14 Pro. The report says the global variant of the phone would come with triple camera sensors, including a telephoto sensor. However, the China version will have a macro sensor in place of the telephoto unit. This suggests that Xiaomi is catering its devices based on different markets and their tastes.

Redmi Note 14 Pro’s fast charging speeds revealed

Separately, a Redmi phone has appeared on China’s 3C certification with the model number 24115RA8EC. While the listing hasn’t revealed the marketing name, it is believed to be the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The listing shows the phone will come with 90W fast charging support. The charging adapter beans the MDY-14-EC model number. In comparison, the predecessor supports only 67W fast charging.

The vanilla Redmi Note 14 5G appeared on the same platform with 45W fast charging. 

Redmi Note 14 Pro: what we know so far

Redmi Note 14 Pro is expected to come with a 1.5K AMOLED display, similar to the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The handset might come with a 5000mAh battery compared to the 5,100mAh cell on the Redmi Note 13 Pro. We might see a 50MP primary camera sensor on the back. A recent leak hinted the Redmi Note 14 Pro would come with a brand new camera layout design on the back panel.
