Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker to launch in India on December 9 | Tech Tips

Xiaomi is set to expand its range of speakers in India. The brand has confirmed the launch of its upcoming offering on December 9 alongside the Redmi Note 14 series and the Redmi Buds 6. The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker launch comes after the Mi Portable Bluetooth speaker (review) that debuted in 2021. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the upcoming audio device have already been confirmed. 

Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker India launch, key specs confirmed

• Xiaomi has put up a microsite of the Sound Outdoor Speaker on its official website. 
• It will retain the same cylindrical-shaped design for both horizontal and vertical placements. 
• There are anti-slip pads for placing it firmly on the surface, a fluid mesh for better grip, and an anti-loss lanyard to carry the speaker easily. 
• The audio device is IP67-certified dust and water-resistant. It can be immersed in water for 30 minutes up to 1 meter.

• It has physical buttons for controlling the music playback and other functions. 
• Xiaomi says that the Sound Outdoor Speaker has bagged the Reddot 2024 award. It’s also teasing the audio device to offer a ‘bold and balanced sound profile’ and powerful bass. 
• The Sound Outdoor Speaker can be connected to another speaker unit with one tap for a stereo sound experience. It can also sync up to 100 similar speakers. 
• The upcoming Xiaomi speaker is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of battery life and is confirmed to come with Bluetooth 5.4.
• The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker will be available in Black, Blue, and Red colours.
