Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 launch imminent after EEC certification; POCO F7 Pro global model spotted on TDRA | Tech Tips

Xiaomi Mix Flip debuted as the company’s first clamshell folding phone in July 2024 in China. The company seems to be working on the successor now. 91mobiles has spotted Mix Flip 2 on the Russian certification body EEC website. Although the listing reveals only the model number, it can be identified as the phone in question since the same model previously appeared in the IMEI database. In related news, the Xiaomi sub-brand POCO’s F7 Pro global edition has been spotted on UAE’s TDRA website. This phone has already been visiting other certification sites like the US’s FCC, Singapore’s IMDA, and the IMEI database.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 EEC listing (global model)

• The EEC listing shows Mix Flip 2 with the model number 2505APX7BG. 

• The Xiaomi folding phone has been found on the IMEI website with both this and 2505APX7BC model numbers. The ‘C’ in the syntax means China and ‘G’ means global. So, the EEC model is slated for the global release.

• The ‘2505’ in the syntax supposedly means May of 2025. However, since the Mix Flip with the model numbers starting with 2405 launched in China in July, we figure the Mix Flip 2 could also come out around the same timeframe.
• Xiaomi did not launch the Mix Flip in India, so it remains to be seen if the Mix Flip 2 will be released in the country as well.

POCO F7 Pro TDRA listing (global model)

• POCO F7 Pro’s global version with model number 24117RK2CG has been certified by UAE’s TDRA body. This confirms the phone’s release in the Gulf country.

• Since the POCO F6 Pro hasn’t come to India, we aren’t sure about the status of the F7 Pro launch in our country.
• Meanwhile, in China, the phone could be rebranded as Redmi K80 since its precursor was launched as Redmi K70 in our neighbouring market. Again, let’s see.
