Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone. The company has already launched the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro in China. Now, it’s Ultra’s time for the China release. The phone was recently spotted on China’s MIIT certification site. Meanwhile, ahead of the launch, its several specs have also been leaked or rumoured. Xiaomi 15 Ultra China launch timeline (tipped)
- As per tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could launch at the end of February. The tipster asserts that it will happen really at the end of the month. Another recognised tipster Smart Pikachu also backs the February timeline.
- This aligns with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra debut timeline as it came out on February 22nd, 2024.
- We expect the phone to launch in India considering it has been certified by BIS and its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra came out in March of 2024 at Rs 99,999. Let’s see if Xiaomi sticks to a similar launch schedule and pricing.
More Xiaomi 15 Ultra specifications (tipped)
- Smart Pikachu claims the 15 Ultra could sport super macro, large aperture across the entire focal range and low-light telephoto camera capability. Previously, the phone was said to house a 1-inch main camera (Sony LYT-900) with f/1.63 aperture and 23mm equivalent focal length.
- Replying to a query about its battery, the tipster suggested the Xiaomi 15 Pro as a reference. The 15 Pro bags a 6,100mAh cell. The difference between the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Pro battery size is around 400mAh. Let’s see how much it’s going to be between the top-end 15 series phones.
Here’s everything else we know so far about the phone:
- Design-wise, the phone’s rear camera setup could see a rearrangement.
- The Xiaomi phone could flaunt a 6.73-inch LTPO display with 1,440×3,200 (2K) resolution and micro curves.
- Besides the camera details mentioned above, we also expect to see a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide lens, a 50MP short-distance zoom telephoto lens (3x) and a 200MP periscope telephoto snapper, perhaps with a 4.3x zoom capability. As for the front, there could be a 32MP OmniVision OV32B sensor for selfies and video calls.
- As DCS mentions in his post, the phone will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. That’s a leap over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC within the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
- The Ultra’s battery could be backed by 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging support.
