Xiaomi 15 Ultra appears on MIIT
- The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is listed on MIIT certification website with the model number 25019PNF3C.
- The ‘C’ in the model number refers to the Chinese variant of the device.
- The listing reveals support for satellite communication standards. It enables two-way SOS messaging where is not cellular coverage.
- The feature is already present on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra but only limited to the China market.
- As per the MIIT certification, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also support NR SA/NR NSA/TD-LTE/LTE FDD/WCDMA/GSM.
- It will also have 5G-enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) technology.
Apart from the MIIT certification, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumoured to come with a significantly bumped up battery capacity as per Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via). The tipster previously expressed disappointment about the phone’s battery and it now seems resolved. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra China and global models are backed by 5,300mAh and 5,000mAh battery units respectively. It also has a higher battery capacity when compared to the Xiaomi 14 Pro. This year’s Xiaomi 15 Pro is backed by a 6,100mAh cell suggesting that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may be equipped with the same-sized or even a larger battery.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is reportedly slated to launch in China in February 2025. Its predecessor also arrived this February with India launch in March at a starting price tag of Rs 99,999.
