Xiaomi 13 Pro global variant shows up on Geekbench ahead of official launch
Xiaomi 13 Pro is set to launch in India and globally on February 26th but ahead of the official unveil the global variant of the smartphone has appeared on benchmarking website Geekbench. To recall, the handset was launched in China in December last year. Now that the international phone variant has shown up on Geekbench, we can also compare the benchmark scores to get a rough idea of the new model’s performance compared to the variant already on shelves in the brand’s homeland.
Xiaomi 13 Pro international variant Geekbench scores
The global variant of the Xiaomi 13 Pro managed to get a single-core score of 1481 and a multi-core score of 4676. At first glance, these numbers look impressive, but let us remind you that the Chinese variant managed to score 1504 in single-core and 5342 in multi-core tests on Geekbench. Could this mean that the global variant will come with a performance downgrade? It is hard to say at this point as post-launch, the retail units could perform better on benchmarking tools. However, it would be interesting to see how the story unfolds.
The Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 13 Pro packs a 6.73-inch 2K OLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The display comes with an HDR10+ certification and offers a whopping 1900 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with Adreno GPU. As far as software is concerned, the phone runs MIUI 14 custom skin (based on Android 13) out of the box.
Moving on to the optics, the phone sports a Leica-equipped triple camera setup on its back with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. For selfies and video calling, the phone sports a 32MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone ships with a 4,820mAh battery with 120W fast and 50W wireless charging support. On the connectivity front, you get 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and NFC support. For security, the phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
