OnePlus 13 launch is expected to take place by the end of October or in November and the company has started teasing details about the phone. OnePlus president Li Jie Louis has confirmed the upcoming OnePlus flagship will sport the BOE X2 display. If you recall, the OnePlus 12 has BOE X1, and now, let’s see what’s new on the OnePlus 13’s BOE X2. 


OnePlus 13 BOE X2 display confirmed

At the BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference in China, the BOE X2 display was announced. This “second-generation (BOE X-series) Oriental screen” will launch next month in China.

Through Weibo, Li Jie Louis shared the news about OnePlus’s continued partnership with BOE and that a future OnePlus phone will feature this display.

The BOE X2 display will have “high brightness” and an improved “eye protection experience”

The OnePlus 12 has a 4,500 nits peak brightness, 600 nits typical brightness, and 1600 nits in High Brightness Mode. So, it’ll be interesting to see how much higher the 13’s brightness metrics will be. 

Further, the OnePlus 12 also comes with the industry-leading 7 percent low blue light, which is further reduced when you turn on bedtime mode.

All in all, the 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display was graded an A+ rating by DisplayMate. The benchmarking platform appraised the OnePlus 12 screen to be a “Very Impressive Excellent Top Tier World Class Smartphone Display with close to Text Book Perfect Calibration Accuracy and Performance that is Visually Indistinguishable From Perfect”.  

That’s a lofty praise and we suppose the BOE X2 will be better in these respects. We will be sure to test it out when the OnePlus 13 launches. Stay tuned!

OnePlus 13 is expected to ship with a 6.8-inch 2K 8T LTPO micro-curved display, a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera, a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support, and IP69 dust and water resistance.
