Walmart’s Onn 4K Plus streaming device spotted on Geekbench | Tech Tips



A new Onn streaming device has been spotted on the benchmarking website, Geekbench. Onn is a brand under Walmart and it already has a lineup of Fire TV-like streaming devices. The latest model is called the Onn 4K Plus streaming device and it seems to be an upgrade over the Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming device. This one too is expected to run on the Google TV platform. 


Walmart’s Onn 4K Geekbench listing

  • 91mobiles has spotted a new Walmart Onn 4K streaming device on Geekbench. The product’s name is revealed on the benchmarking website. 
  • The Geekbench listing reveals that Walmart’s Onn 4K streaming device will run Android 14 out of the box. 
  • It’s powered by a quad-core ARM chipset clocked at 2.51GHz. The streaming device also has 2GB of RAM. 
  • On Geekbench, the Walmart Onn 4K streaming device has scored 1,066 points in the single-core test and 2,598 points in the multi-core test. 

There’s no other information about the Onn 4K Plus but the Geekbench listing suggests Walmart is planning to launch a new version of its Onn streaming device. It could be an upgraded version of the Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming device that launched this year but this one has 3GB of RAM. So it’s still not clear where exactly the new model stands.

To recap, the Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming device is priced at $49.88 (Rs 4,187 approx). It comes with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of onboard storage. It has a 4K Ultra High-Definition display with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for audio. Since the streaming device runs on Google TV OS, you get Google Assistant, over 10,000 Play Store apps, free live TV channels, and more.
