Vivo Y58 price in India drops months after launch: new price, specs | Tech Tips

The Vivo Y58 was launched in India in June under Rs 20,000. However, just a few months after its release, the brand has now reduced the phone’s price. This Vivo phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 50MP primary camera, a whopping 6,000mAh battery, and much more. Check out the new price, alongside its specifications.

Vivo Y58 price, availability details

  • The Vivo Y58 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and it was initially launched for Rs 19,499.
  • However, the company has revealed that the smartphone will be available for Rs 18,499 after the price cut in India.
  • The Vivo Y58 is available on Flipkart in Sundarbans Green and Himalayan Blue colour options for Indian consumers.

Vivo Y58 specifications, features

The Vivo Y58 5G boasts a 6.72-inch LCD 120Hz display, which is an upgrade compared to the 6.58-inch 60Hz display on the Vivo Y56. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset on the predecessor. Notably, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor also powers phones like POCO M6 Plus, Redmi 13 5G and more.

The recently launched Vivo smartphone flaunts dual rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor, similar to the Vivo Y56. However, the selfie camera is downgraded from a 16MP front camera to an 8MP front camera. It houses a 6,000mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging. The phone operates Android 14-based Funtouch 14 OS.

Should you buy the Vivo Y58?

Notably, a price cut of Rs 1,000 seems to be decent, considering that the Vivo Y58 is a budget phone. For its price, it comes with a decent display, powerful chipset, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, a 6,000mAh battery and an IP64 rating, which indicates it is dust and water-resistant to a certain extent.

However, there are other options, like the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, which starts at Rs 19,999 for the same storage variant. It comes with a slightly smaller but AMOLED display, a more prominent 16MP selfie camera, and a 5,500mAh battery but with 80W charging, which makes the OnePlus device a little superior to the Vivo Y58.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy M35 also starts at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, but it comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, the Exynos 1380 SoC, which is said to be slightly faster than the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It packs a 50MP+8MP+2MP triple rear camera setup instead of the dual camera on the Vivo Y58 and a similar 6,000mAh battery.

Considering these factors, it can be said that the Vivo Y58 is good for its price, but if you are willing to spend a little more, you might get some better features with the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite or the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G, which are also recently launched phones.
