Vivo Y300 Pro is launching next week

Design

  • The Vivo Y300 Pro teaser image shared shows the phone in gold and blue colour options and the phone seems to be using a polycarbonate body.
  • We see a large circular camera module present on the back panel and there is a significant protrusion. There are four cutouts, out of which one is an LED flash ring, the other two are camera sensors and the last one seems to be just decorative.
  • There is ‘Aspherical’ high-performance text engraved in the middle of the camera module.
  • The Vivo phone has curved edges on the sides, both on the front and back, with a frame running around in the middle. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right spine.
  • The Vivo Y300 Pro will be just 7.69mm in thickness.

Hardware

Vivo’s vice president, Jia Jingdong confirmed the Vivo Y300 Pro will pack a 6,500mAh battery and claims this is the largest capacity cell on the market in 2024 and can offer up to 12.1 hours of gaming time. This will be aided by 80W fast charging support as also confirmed by China’s 3C platform.

The phone will house an “extreme graphite technology”. The handset will house a large 6.77-inch micro-quadruple curved screen, which features slight curvature on all four corners of the screen.”Micro-quad-curved” means that the curvature is obvious but not exaggerated, as per the top executive. The screen will have up to 5,000 brightness, which makes the content on the screen extremely crisp and lifelike in direct sunlight.

There are features like anti-flicker, blue light filtering, intelligent brightness adjustment and more. Jia Jingdong says the Vivo Y300 Pro’s screen has passed the National Ophthalmic Engineering Center test & SGS authoritative eye protection certification. The Vivo Y300 will feature an anti-drop structure, certified by SGS five-star anti-drop and all-weather rain resistance.

In terms of cameras, the phone will offer a 50MP primary camera and a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. The Vivo Y300 Pro is confirmed to come in Titanium, Gold, White, and Black colours.

On the sideline, a Vivo phone, with the model number V2410A (believed to be the Y300 Pro), appeared on Geekbench. This shows the benchmark scores of 944 in the single-core round and 2824 in the multi-core segment. The listing confirmed 12GB RAM and Android 14 OS. The motherboard section suggests the chipset might be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. We should know more details next week.
