While Vivo is confirmed to launch the Y300 5G smartphone in China next week, the brand is also reportedly working on a new device in its Y-series. The upcoming offering is the Vivo Y29 4G. It was previously spotted on the EEC certification with model number V2434 confirming the phone’s moniker. Now, the same device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform that reveals its key specifications.
Vivo Y29 4G key specifications surface
- The Vivo Y29 4G carries the model number V2434 on the Geekbench database which is similar to the EEC certification.
- As per the listing (via), the motherboard is codenamed bengal and governor as walt.
- The octa-core processor’s setup comprises of four cores clocked at 1.90GHz and four cores ticking at 2.80GHz. There’s Adreno 610 GPU onboard.
- This suggests that the smartphone could be powered by a Snapdragon 685 chipset.

The smartphone will be arriving as the successor to the Y28 4G that launched in June this year. The latter did not make its way to the Indian market and instead the brand announced a 5G version of the device earlier in January this year.
