Vivo X200 series launching in China around early October: report | Tech Tips
The Vivo X200 series is the brand’s upcoming flagship offering and there have been multiple rumours in this regard. Recently, the alleged render of the vanilla model has surfaced online, showing off the complete front design. The lineup could include two models: the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro. Now, a new report from Wall Street China suggests the Vivo X200 lineup will be debuting by early October.
Vivo X200 series is coming early
- The Vivo X200 series will have two models: the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro.
- Unlike Xiaomi, OnePlus and other Android flagships, Vivo X200 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC.
- In comparison, the Vivo X100 series came with the Dimensity 9300.
- For those unaware, the Vivo X100 debuted in China in November. This means the brand is introducing the successors ahead of the cycle.
- This will give the brand a chance to take on the newly launched iPhone 16 series.
- The report further mentioned that Vivo is currently the number 1 brand in China between July and August where it sold the most number of smartphones.
- The brand secured a market share of 19.4 percent. In the premium segment (between RMB 4,000 to RMB 6,000 price range) it reached 16 percent share.
Vivo X200 series: what we know so far
The Vivo X200 is expected to come with a 6.3-inch OLED LTPO 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the X200 Pro could come with a 6.7/6.8-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO micro-curved display. Both phones could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, compared to the Dimensity 9300 on the Vivo X100.
The Vivo X200 could have a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 70mm periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the Pro variant could come with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
The Vivo X200 may house a 5,600mAh battery with 90W fast charging. For context, the Vivo X100 had a 5000mAh cell. The X200 Pro could pack a 6000mAh cell, compared to the 5400mAh capacity of the predecessor.
The Vivo X200 may have an optical fingerprint sensor for security, while the X200 Pro could house an ultra-sonic fingerprint unit. The Vivo flagships could house an IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance.
