Vivo X200 series confirmed to launch with world’s first LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM | Tech Tips
The Vivo X200 series is launching in China on October 14th. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that the upcoming X200 series phones will be among the world’s first to feature the LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM. Here are some more details of the Vivo X200 series.
Vivo X200 series will feature LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM
- Via Weibo, the company has confirmed the chipset details, which indicate the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, corroborating recent reports. Additionally, the brand mentioned the LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM.
- Notably, the company did not detail how the LPDDR5X Ultra Pro is different from LPDDR5X RAM, but it is expected to be similar to the high-speed LPDDR5X RAM that Samsung introduced in early 2024.
Here’s more about the RAM technology:
A GizmoChina report claims that the South Korean tech giant mentioned that the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 would be the first chipset to support this technology. Therefore, it is likely that Vivo is using a new marketing term for the same feature.
Samsung states that its new memory technology delivers data transfer speeds of up to 10.7Gbps, which makes it the fastest in the industry. The memory offers a 25 percent performance improvement and 30 percent more capacity than its previous mobile DRAM.
Samsung has incorporated power-saving features to enhance power efficiency, including an optimised system that adjusts energy consumption based on workload and longer low-power mode intervals, which improve power efficiency by 25 percent.
