Uber One subscription plan has been launched in India and offers various perks that can benefit frequent riders on the platform. This comes at a time when the ride-hailing market is seeing growing competition. Check out what’s Uber One subscription and what are the benefits.
Uber One subscription launched
- Uber One subscription is currently visible within the app and currently, there are two tiers: Rs 149 monthly and Rs 1,499 annual plan. Although there are reports of a Rs 349 quarterly plan as well.
- As a limited-time offer, Uber is offering the 1-month plan at just Rs 39 (possibly only for first-time subscribers), after a discount of 74 percent.

- Additionally, those subscribing to the One plan get to earn up to 10 percent (Uber Go, Go Sedan, Premier, XL, Reserve, Black, Auto, Moto and Package), 35 percent Uber One credits on Shuttle, and 1 percent on Intercity and Rentals.
- Uber One credits are capped at Rs 150 per trip and limited to 150 rides for the 1 month and 600 tries per year for the 12-month plan. These credits can be redeemed on all trips.
- The Uber One credits on rides will expire after 60 days and are only valid with an active membership.
- Subscribers of Uber One get top-rated drivers based on availability, 24/7 priority support, and a limited Zomato Gold membership for three months, which offers dining and free delivery on food orders.
- It should be noted that cancellations are permitted only for the 12-month plan and once the subscription is cancelled, users will not get Uber One credits on trips or any other benefits.
- Uber One plan is already available in markets like the US and Canada.
This new Uber One subscription launch comes after the company rolled out a few safety-focused features like woman rider preference for female drivers, SOS integration for emergencies, and a helmet selfie feature for pillion riders.
Uber also announced the promotion of registrations on the e-Shram portal (database for gig workers and unorganised workers) in support of India’s government’s Code on Social Security (CoSS), which seeks to offer a safety net for gig workers.
