Two new Redmi phones tipped to be in the works, could be Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro | Tech Tips
Besides working on the Redmi K80 series, Xiaomi brand Redmi is tipped to be working on two other phones as per the latest Weibo post of tipster DigitalChatStation. While the identity of the phone is not explicitly mentioned, the tipster says the phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (if that’s indeed what it will be called). Both chipsets are yet to be unveiled officially.
Alleged Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro
- The tipster further says the Redmi phones will feature a 1.5K flat screen display and 6000mAh+ battery capacities.
- The camera island design is said to pay tribute to its own phones launched in the past.
- The phones are claimed to offer superior design and performance.
Identity of the phones
- While the identity of the phone is not clear, they are believed to be the Redmi Turbo 4 and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro (via PlayfulDroid).
- There are reports that the brand may not launch the Redmi K80e (successor to the Redmi K70e with Dimensity 8300-Ultra). Instead, the phone could be moved to the Turbo lineup.
- It is said that the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 phone in the leak could be named the Redmi Turbo 4, while the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro may get the Snapdrgon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
- Ideally it should be the other way round considering the predecessors’ hardware.
- The Redmi Turbo 4 will come as a successor to the Redmi Turbo 3 from earlier this year, which came with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
- The Redmi K70e and Redmi Turbo 3 were rebranded as POCO X6 Pro and POCO F6 globally. It remains to be seen whether the same will happen with the successors as well.
As said, the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipsets are yet to be announced. However, the main flagship SoCs: the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite are out.
