Two mysterious Nothing phones appear on the IMEI database

Two mysterious Nothing phones appear on the IMEI database | Tech Tips

Nothing released two new phones this year: the Nothing Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus and 1 CMF-branded phone, the CMF Phone 1. The flagship Nothing Phone (3) will arrive only in 2025 with a host of new AI features. In the meantime, the company appears to be working on two mysterious phones as they have been spotted on the IMEI database, confirming their existence.

Two new Nothing phones could be launched soon

  • Two new Nothing phones have been spotted on the IMEI database, courtesy of folks at Gizmochina.
  • These bear the model numbers A059 and A059P. The ‘P’ at the end of the latter’s model number could be indicating a Plus version.
  • This is considering the Nothing Phone (2a) bears the model number A142 and the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus has A142P.
  • These don’t fall in series with other model numbers from the company so it is hard to tell whether these will be introduced under Nothing or CMF branding at the moment.
  • The manufacturer mentioned is ‘Nothing Technology Limited’ and there is no market name listed at the moment.
  • The report doesn’t mention or reveal any details of the phone at the moment but says the launch is not anytime and the announcement might be at least 3-4 months away from now.

Besides two new phones, Nothing is also believed to be working on the new TWS earbuds, dubbed the Nothing Ear Open. The same has been spotted on the IMDA and TDRA certifications and they confirm the marketing name and the model number B182. Both these listings hint the earbuds will not be exclusive to a specific market, instead, they will be expanded to various markets globally.
