Tecno Spark Go 1 launched in India: price, specifications | Tech Tips

Tecno Spark Go 1 is the new budget phone in India and it is set to go on sale soon. For a sub-Rs 8K price range, the phone packs an interesting repertoire which includes a 120Hz screen, a “4-year plus lag-free experience,” an infrared sensor, up to 8GB memory (with Memory Fusion), DTS-aided dual-speaker setup, and software-based Dynamic Port on the front. You can buy the Tecno Spark Go 1 from Amazon, the Tecno website, and possibly other outlets starting September 3rd at 12 noon. The phone price starts at Rs 7,299.

The Tecno phone will be available in Lime Green, Glittery White, and Startrail Black.

Tecno Spark Go 1: what’s new?

From the visuals on the Tecno and Amazon microsite, Tecno Spark Go 1 has a more sober design than the Tecno Spark Go 2024 model. The rear camera panel design also looks distinct.

As we reported this is the first smartphone with a 120Hz refresh rate display in this segment. The Tecno Spark Go 2024 only had a 90Hz panel. The newcomer carries over the Dynamic Port feature that could show notifications like battery and charging status, mic recording, and ongoing call alerts in a wide floating panel over the punch-hole cutout.

Unlock the phone and you will get Android 14 Go edition while the other Tecno phone comes with Android 13 Go edition only. The brand promises 4+ years of “lag-free” experience. We have asked the brand to know what this entails/means.

The underlying processor is Unisoc T615 which has a higher clock speed than Unisoc T606 inside the Tecno Spark Go 2024.

Although the battery size is 5,000mAh on both phones, the new phone has a tad faster 15W charging support (as opposed to 10W on the other phone).

The base storage is 64GB with microSD card support. This is coupled with 4GB RAM and 4GB virtual RAM. We don’t know if there will be other configurations.  

There is no secondary camera this time around. You, however, get IP54 dust and water resistance, an Infrared port, and AI noise cancellation. Like the Tecno Spark Go 2024 model, here also you get a dual stereo speaker with DTS support.
