Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 foldable phones have been launched in India. Both devices have been introduced at offer prices making the most affordable foldable devices in India. These are also the second-generation foldables from Tecno and they were introduced globally in December. 

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, Phantom V Flip 2 price in India, availability

• The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is priced at Rs 79,999, while the Phantom V Flip 2 has been launched at Rs 34,999. 
• This introductory price is for a limited period but the exact duration has been specified by Tecno. 
• Both devices will be available to purchase starting December 13th at 12 pm on Amazon. 
• The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 will be available in Karst Green and Rippling Blue (designed by LOEWE).
• The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 comes in Travertine Green and Moondust Grey.

• Display: The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 features a 7.85-inch 2K+ AMOLED main display and a 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED cover display. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 has a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display.
• Processor: The Phantom V Fold 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, while the Phantom V Flip 2 has the Dimensity 8020 SoC.
• Cameras: The bigger Fold has a triple 50MP rear camera setup stacked in a rectangular module and dual 32MP selfie cameras. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 has dual 50MP rear cameras stacked on the cover display and a 32MP selfie snapper.
• Battery, charging: With the Tecno Phantom V Fold you get a 5,700mAh battery with 70W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. The Tecno Flip 2 has a 4,720mAh battery with the same charging speed but no wireless charging technology.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, V Flip 2: what’s new?

The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2’s display specs remain largely the same as the Phantom V Fold. However, one upgrade in the Phantom V Flip 2 is the cover display, which is a 3.64-inch screen over the 1.32-inch screen on the Phantom V Flip.

Interestingly, the Phantom V Fold 2 has the same chipset, while the Phantom V Flip 2 has a different one but we can’t necessarily call it an upgrade. The camera department is where both foldables have received notable upgrades. Tecno has also increased the battery capacities and charging speeds on the V Fold 2 and V Flip 2.
