Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G spotted on Geekbench, launch could be imminent | Tech Tips

Following the launch of the Camon 30 series in India, Tecno seems to be working on bringing the successors- the Tecno Camon 40. The phones in the lineup were earlier spotted online, confirming their development. The Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G has appeared on Geekbench, revealing the benchmark scores and some hardware details.

The Tecno Camon series is the brand’s mid-range lineup that offers a balance of good performance, battery, and decent cameras.

Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G appears on Geekbench

• The Geekbench listing (via) shows the model number ‘CM7’, which is associated with the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G as revealed by the previous EEC certification (via).
• The phone has scored 1034 in the single-core round and 3257 in the multi-core segment.

• The listing shows the phone will pack 7.25GB (8GB) RAM and boot Android 15 OS.
• The phone will be powered by an octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 2GHz and another 4 cores at 2.50GHz.
• While the processor details are not revealed at the moment, the source code section reveals the Mali G615 MC2 GPU, hinting the chipset could be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300.

The Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G was earlier spotted IMEI database (via) but mentioned different model numbers CM8 (Camon 40 Pro 5G) and CM6 (Camon 40 Pro 4G). There are chances it could be a different variant of the same phone. Besides the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G, there will also be a Camon 40 Pro 4G, a standard Tecno Camon 40 model, and a Camon 40 Premier 5G (appeared on EEC). Since the phones are appearing online frequently, we can speculate the launch might be around the corner.

The Tecno Camon 30 series was originally announced at the MWC show earlier this year in February and included Tecno Camon 30 Preimer 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 4G, and 5G models. However, only the Tecno Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G were launched in India in May. It remains to be seen whether the Camon 40 Pro 5G will also see the same fate or be brought to the Indian market.
