Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition price and specifications have been made official. The new foldable was rumoured for the past several months and it has finally made its debut. As the name suggests, the ‘Special Edition’ is an upgraded version of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. It comes with larger displays, a 200MP primary camera, and it’s even thinner and lighter than the regular model.

• Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is priced at KRW 2,789,600, which translates to roughly Rs 1,70,318.
• It comes in a single 16GB + 512GB variant and Black Shadow colour.
• The new foldable can be purchased in South Korea starting October 25th through the Samsung website and other online platforms.
• On purchasing the foldable, customers can get discounts on the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.  
• Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition only in South Korea with no word on further expansion.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition specifications

• Displays: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition has an 8-inch internal display with a 20:18 ratio and a 6.5-inch cover display with a 21:9 ratio aspect ratio. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 6.3-inch cover display and a 7.60-inch internal screen. 
• Processor: The foldable is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same one in the regular model. 
• RAM and storage: It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. 
• Cameras: This has received a major upgrade as the primary wide-angle camera is now a 200MP sensor. The rest of the specs are the same including a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, a 10MP selfie camera, and a 4MP under-display camera.
• Battery, charging: The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition has a 4,400mAh battery, which is the same as the regular version.
• Software: On the software front, it runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. It’s also equipped with Galaxy AI features. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: what’s new?

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition does come with upgrades over the regular model. To begin with, the Special Edition comes with bigger displays but it’s also lighter and thinner. More specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is 1.5mm thinner and 3g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is 10.6mm thick and weighs 236g. Another upgrade is Wi-Fi 7 on the Special Edition as opposed to Wi-Fi 6e on the regular model. 

Like the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Special Edition also comes with Armor Aluminium and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It’s almost indistinguishable from the regular model but if one difference is the striped pattern on the Special Edition, which is horizontal and not diagonal like the regular version.
