The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE are now getting the One UI 6 Watch update, based on Wear OS 5. Notably, the Wear OS 5-based update first arrived on the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7, and on the Galaxy Watch 6 last month. 

It is worth noting that the Galaxy Watch 5, currently priced at Rs 32,999, was announced in 2022, while the Galaxy Watch SE was launched this year and is available at Rs 10,999 on Flipkart.

• Several users on Reddit have posted, spotted by 9To5Google, that Samsung is rolling out the new update on their Galaxy Watch 5 in several parts of Europe.
• As of now, only the Bluetooth models are getting the Wear OS 5 update, and it is anticipated that the LTE models will likely receive the update in the coming weeks.
• Additionally, the latest Wear OS 5 software update for the Galaxy Watch series has expanded to include the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in Malaysia, as per a user.
• However, the update remains unavailable for Galaxy Watch 6 variants for some users, despite its rollout to Watch 6 models in the US and other countries.

Wear OS 5 features

• Samsung One UI 6 Watch, based on Wear OS 5, brings select features tailored for Galaxy Watches and exclusive features unavailable on other Wear OS devices.
• The update focuses on enhancements for Samsung Health and Galaxy AI, bringing features such as Energy Score, Sleep Analysis, and Race/Workout Routine.
• The Wear OS 5 update also introduces updates to improve system navigation on devices with larger displays and optimisations for smoother app performance.
• Via the update, Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra now feature FDA-approved sleep apnea detection, with plans to expand the feature to older models.
• The latest Wear OS 5 software update is approximately two gigabytes in size.
