Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra renders show major design shift from Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra renders show major design shift from Galaxy S24 Ultra | Tech Tips

Samsung Galaxy S25 series is due to launch around early 2025. There could be three models in the lineup: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. Among the other models in the series, the Galaxy S25 Ultra appears to be the most-anticipated model as it has been subjected to various leaks in recent times. Now, tipster Ice Universe has shared new renders of the Ultra model and there are some interesting developments.

Is this the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra?

  • The first thing that is apparent from the renders is the Galaxy S25 Ultra will not have sharp edges like the current outgoing model. This is reiterated by recent leaks.
  • This is a welcome change considering the sharp edges of the S24 Ultra might cause discomfort on extended use.
  • Though it was believed the phone’s display would be slightly curved towards the edges, the renders show completely flat sides.
  • Another apparent improvement is the bezels around the screen are now narrower compared to the previous gen models. Again, we don’t know the exact dimensions at the moment.
  • Recently, Ice Universe claimed the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be getting narrower from 79mm to 77.6mm, thereby increasing the screen’s diagonal size to 6.86 inches from 6.79 inches.
  • We see the volume rocker and power button are present on the right side of the frame. The stylus S Pen could be housed at the bottom edge.
  • Ice Universe also claimed the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the thinnest and lightest flagship, even when compared to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: what we know so far

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy SoC. This will be a slightly overclocked version of the regular chipset. The flagship is expected to come with a 4885mAh battery (could be marketed as 5000mAh battery), which is the same as the S24 Ultra. The handset is tipped to get 45W fast charging, again much like the S24 Ultra.

In terms of cameras, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might feature a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP JN1 ultra-wide lang sensor and a 50MP 5x telephoto lens. This is an upgrade from the 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 3x telephoto shooter on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Design-wise, it is evident the phone will have rounded corners for better grip on hands. The bezels will be narrower, making the phone look taller. The triple rear cameras housed be stacked vertically without any casing.
