Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could feature same battery capacity as Galaxy S24 Ultra, 3C certification reveals | Tech Tips

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to launch as the brand’s new flagship smartphone early next year. Details of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s battery and charging were leaked recently and now the phone has been spotted on China’s 3C certification site. Samsung is also rumoured to change the naming scheme for the Galaxy S25 lineup with ‘Ultra’ getting swapped for ‘Note’.

Galaxy S25 Ultra battery details revealed

  • 91mobiles has spotted the Galaxy S25 Ultra on China’s 3C certification site. Here, the phone is listed with a 4,885mAh battery, which would be marketed as 5,000mAh when the phone is released.
  • This is the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S24 Ultra suggesting that there’s no upgrade in this department.
  • The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also tipped to come with the same 45W fast charging support as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These details haven’t been confirmed but if true then Samsung is probably not planning on an upgrade.

Samsung is also rumoured to change the names of the Galaxy S25 lineup. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could be called ‘Note’, while the Galaxy S25 Plus will be replaced with ‘Pro’. The Galaxy S25 Note moniker seems fitting as the phone did replace the Galaxy Note series. However, it’s not clear why Samsung is planning to change the names and if there are other models planned.

Another change that the Galaxy S25 Ultra might go through is the overall design. There have been rumours and renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra featuring rounded corners so that it doesn’t look boxy. It could end up looking like the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also tipped to have a body thickness of 8.4mm, which is the thinnest yet among the other Ultra models.
