Leaks and rumours have been spilling details about the Galaxy S25 Slim since the past few months. While, it’s unclear if the device will debut later this month at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22nd alongside the regular Galaxy S25 series, the launch event invite seemingly hints at the phone’s announcement. The smartphone was previously seen on GSMA IMEI database. Now, we have spotted the purported Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim Geekbench details
- The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is listed on Geekbench with model number SM-S937U.
- It mentions a motherboard codenamed ‘sun’ and the setup comprises of six cores clocked at 3.53GHz and two cores ticking at 4.47GHz.
- This hints at the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor under the hood.
- As per the database, the device will pack 12GB RAM and we can expect more options at launch.
- The phone will ship with Android 15 OS out of the box.
- In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results, the purported Galaxy S25 Slim scores 3,005 and 6,945 points, respectively.
- The benchmarking listing does not reveal any additional details of the smartphone.
The official Galaxy Unpacked event invite shows corners of four phones. This leads us to speculate that the South Korean brand could surprisingly unveil the rumoured Galaxy S25 Slim at the event. As usual, the S25 lineup will include the standard, plus, and ultra models. However, it’s still recommended to take this news with a healthy grain of salt. Previously, the S25 Slim was tipped to launch in Q2, 2025.
Going by the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be equipped with the same processor as the other S25 models. The smartphone will reportedly measure around 6mm thick. It is rumoured to feature a 6.6-inch display, a triple camera setup headlined by 200MP, and a battery capacity of around 5,000mAh. Samsung is aiming to position the Galaxy S25 Slim as the competitor to Apple’s iPhone 17 Air which is also rumoured to arrive this year.
