Samsung Galaxy S25 series tipped get a RAM upgrade | Tech Tips

Samsung Galaxy S25 series will reportedly debut on January 22nd at the company’s popular ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event. Since the leaked renders/live images haven’t shown any major design changes or improvements compared to the Galaxy S24 lineup, the onus is now on the hardware upgrades to create interest in the flagships. The latest leak suggests one such notable improvement.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series RAM

• According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will arrive with 12GB RAM as the base option. There will be no 8GB RAM variant.
• This will be a notable upgrade over the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, which have 8GB RAM as the base option.
• The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will also arrive with 12GB RAM on the base model, much like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. 

• Earlier reports hinted the Galaxy S25 Ultra may get a 16GB RAM option for the first time and this should put it in line with Google and OnePlus flagships.
• Furthermore, the tipster suggests the Galaxy S25 series may also get 256GB storage as the base option, compared to 128GB on the predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is widely believed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in all regions. There will be no Exynos SoC this time, reportedly because of low yields.

While the regular and Plus variants appear to have a similar design as the predecessors, except for the concentric rings around the camera sensors, it is the Galaxy S25 Ultra variant that seems to have undergone some design changes. The alleged live images/video and renders showed rounded corners compared to the sharp edges of the predecessor and a slightly narrow profile, which should make the phone look tall.

Like with most S-series flagships, the Galaxy S25 lineup will also be heading to India, possibly around the same time or a little later. Samsung has yet to officially confirm the launch date. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series launched in India in January this year with a starting price of Rs 79,999 (the Galaxy S24 128GB launched later at 74,999)
