Samsung Galaxy S25 series launch date tipped: expected venue, models, specs, and other details | Tech Tips

Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series could also launch in January. While the S24 series debuted on January 17th, the new lineup could come a few days later, at least as per some recent reports. And due to the time difference, the Galaxy S25 launch in the global markets could be a day before its home market (South Korea) launch. Here are the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 dates and everything we expect from this event:

Samsung Galaxy S25 launch date, venue (expected)

Per the South Korean outlet FNNews, the Galaxy S25 series will launch on January 23rd while reliable tipster Max Jambor claims the phone series will arrive on January 22nd. This is the time zone difference we mentioned in the introduction.

As for the venue, the global launch could take place in California. The Galaxy S24 series had its event in San Jose, California while the S23 series event took place in San Francisco, California.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series: what to expect

• Variants: Samsung Galaxy S25 could come mainly in three models: Galaxy S25 (SM-S931), Galaxy S25 Plus (SM-S936), and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938). There are rumours of a Galaxy S25 Slim edition (SM-S937U) too. Even though the Slim’s launch is expected a little later around April month, Samsung could perhaps tease it in this event. So far we have heard it could have a 6.55-inch display, a thin profile, perhaps a single camera but also an Ultra-level optics. Samsung could start the pre-reservation on January 5th. 
• Processor: All three key Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones are expected to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Perhaps, Samsung will use a custom Snapdragon for Galaxy variant of this chip in its phones.
• Colours: The Galaxy S25 and S25+ could come in new colours namely Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green. Both models could also come in Pink Gold, Coral Red, and Blue/Black while the Ultra could sport Titanium Pink/Silver, Titanium Blue/Black, and Titanium Jade Green colours.
• Display: The Galaxy S25 could have a 6.17-inch screen, the Plus model could have a 6.7-inch screen and the Ultra could have a 6.9-inch panel.
• Software: It’s an easy guess that the phone will boot Android 15-based One UI 7.
