We are getting closer to the Galaxy S25 series unveiling if reports of January launch and past launch timelines are anything to go by. The successors to the current generation S24 series shipped with Galaxy AI onboard and latter received Gemini AI features. Now, a new report reveals that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series could come with a major benefit i.e. a free trial of Gemini Advanced subscription. Additionally, the same publication also reports that the devices could pack car crash detection feature. Read on to know the details.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series may come with a major perk

  • Android Authority dig deeper in to the source code of the latest Google App beta and found strings in the code hinting at a free Gemini Advanced subscription.
  • The string says ‘Your device gives you access to a one, six, nine month, or one year subscription to Gemini Advanced, with access to our most capable AI models, at no cost’.
  • Another code confirms that the string is indeed attributed to the Galaxy S25 series.
  • The vanilla S25 could get three months whereas the S25+ and S25 Ultra could come with six months and one year of Gemini Advanced membership.

  • The free subscription is expected to be confirmed at the time of Galaxy S25 series launch event.
  • Regardless, it does seem enticing for those waiting to purchase the next-generation models.
  • Gemini Advanced is Google’s most powerful AI that costs $19.99 (~Rs 1,950) per month. It gives access to Gemini 2.0 flash, 1.5 deep research, 2TB Google One storage, and the ability to process 1,000,000 tokens at once.

Meanwhile, in another report, Android Authority citing leaked firmware files reveal that the Galaxy S25 series will come with a car crash detection sensor. Notably, this has been present on older Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and later. However, the feature has not been made live on any of the phones in any region nor available in the Settings app. The South Korean brand has been working on this since OneUI 5.1.1 build but is yet to see light of the day. Crash detection is a life-saving feature that determines when a user has been in a potential car crash and calls emergency services automatically. It is already available on Pixels and iPhones.
