  • According to a report from Android Authority, a lot of older Galaxy smartphones are getting stuck in bootloops.
  • A lot of complaints have popped up on Reddit, with users like rbthompsonv and mikethespike056 having one of the biggest discussion threads about the issue.
  • From these discussions, it seems models like the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy A90 and Galaxy A50 series are having this problem after updating to SmartThings Framework (2.2.02.1).
  • The post shares an entire list of affected devices, which include Galaxy S10 Lite, S10e, S10, S10+, S10 5G, Note10, Note10+, Note10+ 5G in countries like South Korea, Belgium, France, the USA, and Australia.
  • These bootloops are affecting Galaxy phones running on Android 12 (OneUI 4).
  • Another Reddit user, hatethatwalware, shared Samsung Korea’s initial response to the issue in the Samsung Members app (Korean version), recommending users install update version 2.2.03.1 instead.

  • Samsung has also advised anyone affected to head to their nearest Samsung service centre for help.
  • We suggest backing up your entire data if you have an affected Galaxy smartphone or an older Galaxy device running on OneUI 4 and visiting your nearest service centre.
  • Unfortunately, many users had to factory reset their phones by going into recovery mode to fix the problem, losing important data along the way.
