Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G India pricing details and specifications were quietly revealed today. The new Samsung phone is an affordable alternative to the Galaxy M55 that launched in India earlier this year in April. The Galaxy M55s comes with 45W fast charging support, a 50MP main camera, and a 120Hz display. 

Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G price in India, availability

• Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 for the base model. Its storage variants haven’t been revealed yet. 
• Samsung is offering a bank discount of Rs 2,000 on the Galaxy M55s. It will go on sale on September 26th via Amazon. 
• You can get the Galaxy M55s 5G in two colours: Thunder Black and Coral Green.

Samsung Galaxy M55s: what’s different?

The Galaxy M55s has been launched as a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy M55, which starts at Rs 26,999 in India. In terms of design, the Galaxy M55s looks quite like the Galaxy M55 with the curved edges, thin body, and rear camera placement. It also comes in a similar Turquoise colour like the Galaxy M55. 

Interestingly, the Galaxy M55s has the same specifications and features as the Galaxy M55. The only notable difference is the display panel which is a Super AMOLED on the Galaxy M55s and Super AMOLED+ on the Galaxy M55. The difference wouldn’t be big though.

• Display: The Galaxy M55s 5G has a 6.67 FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness.
• Processor: Under the hood of the phone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
• RAM and storage: The smartphone comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. You also get 16GB of virtual RAM with the Galaxy M55s. 
• Cameras: The new Samsung phone has a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP wide-angle camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Up front, it has a 50MP front camera for selfies. It has Dual Recording which lets you use the rear and front cameras simultaneously and Nightography for low-light shots and videos. 
• Battery, charging: The Galaxy M55s 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. 
• Other features: With the Galaxy M55s 5G, you get an in-display fingerprint sensor, Samsung Knox Vault for security, and Voice Focus for phone calls. 

Samsung Galaxy M55s alternatives

The Galaxy M55s sits just at the start of the sub-Rs 20,000 price range. In this price segment, the Samsung phone would compete with the iQOO Z9s, OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, and Moto G85.
