Samsung Galaxy F06 5G, Galaxy M06 5G visit BIS suggesting an imminent India launch | Tech Tips
While Samsung has a big event for the flagship Galaxy S25 series at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 on January 22nd, the company seems to be also working to unveil two new affordable 5G smartphones for Indian consumers. The Samsung Galaxy F06 5G and Galaxy M06 5G have appeared on BIS, hinting that they could go official soon in India. Here are the details.
Samsung Galaxy F06 5G, Galaxy M06 5G BIS certification details
- As per a report by MySmartPrice, two new Samsung phones have been listed on BIS with the model numbers SM-E066B/DS and SM-M066B/DS.
- Notably, these model numbers have already been associated with the Samsung Galaxy F06 5G and Galaxy M06 5G smartphones.
- The yet-to-be-launched Samsung phones were also recently spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification with the same model numbers.
- The BIS certification does not reveal any features or specifications. However, it indicates that these smartphones could launch soon in India.
- It is worth mentioning that DS in the model numbers suggest that the phones will feature ‘dual SIM’ card slots.
The unannounced Samsung Galaxy F06 5G and Galaxy M06 5G will come as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy F05 5G and Samsung Galaxy M05 5G. Both phones were launched in September 2024 for Rs 7,999.
These budget devices feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display, the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.
